Rev. Sung Chun Ahn (Pastor Sunny)
was appointed to Aldersgate United Methodist Church on July 1, 2022. Pastor Sunny had served as the Lead Pastor at Centenary United Methodist Church since July 2017. Pastor Sunny grew up in Incheon, Korea and received his Bachelors of Theology from the Methodist Theological Seminary in Seoul before moving to New Jersey. He attended New Brunswick Theological Seminary and received his Masters of Theology from Drew University Theological School. He recently received his Ordination.
Before he served at Centenary UMC, Pastor Sunny served as a part-time Pastor at both Seobu Methodist Church and Itaewon Methodist Church, and then Associate Pastor of First Korean UMC of Cherry Hill.
Pastor Sunny has a deep passion for music, showcasing his vocal talents through participation in numerous choirs throughout his academic journey. Beyond singing, he is a versatile musician, adept at playing the piano, guitar, and drums. His creative spirit extends to the realm of photography, reflecting his diverse interests.
Residing in East Brunswick, Pastor Sunny shares his life with his beloved wife, Minju, and their three delightful children: Soyoon, aged 13; Joowon, aged 10; and Hayoon, aged 7. The love and bond within his family are paramount to him. Pastor Sunny eagerly anticipates connecting with his new church family and the broader community, embracing the enriching experiences that lie ahead.
