Food Pantry

At AOCC’s Food Pantry, we believe all people should have access to healthy, nutritious food. Partnering with local businesses, food banks, and farmers, fresh fruits and vegetables are always available along with packaged food staples, bread, dairy, deli items, and choices of protein. As a full choice pantry, neighbors shop with dignity, selecting food that meets their dietary needs and preferences.

The Food Pantry offers several special programs including snack bags for school age children, diapers for babies and adults, and feminine hygiene products. Holiday foods are provided at Thanksgiving and Easter.

AOCC Registration Requirements

The Food Pantry is open to qualified neighbors receiving WIC, SNAP, Medicaid, SSI, or meeting Federal income guidelines. To register, you must have a government-issued photo ID and proof of your current address. IDs are required for family members over 18 and birth certificates are required for children under 18.

Visiting the Food Pantry

The Food Pantry is open on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10 am to 12 pm. Neighbors visiting the Food Pantry should bring their photo ID and bags. Numbers are distributed beginning at 9:30 am. You must be present when your number is called. Friendly volunteers will help answer questions and carry bags.

Donations and Volunteering

Donations of food, cleaning supplies, diapers, and personal products are gratefully accepted and can be dropped off at the Food Pantry. Future dated food in sealed original packaging can go right on the shelf. Fresh produce from your garden is also accepted. Donations can be dropped off during food pantry hours. Click here for guidelines for donating food.

Monetary donations are always welcome! There are times when we cannot get all the food we need through the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, Replenish Middlesex County Food Bank, or community donations so needed items are purchased from grocery stores.

Our volunteers are key in creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere in the Food Pantry. They assist neighbors, restock shelves, prepare the pantry for opening, and clean up after closing. Register to volunteer through Jersey Cares.
